Animal Sanctuary Foundation
Animal Sanctuary Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that rescues, rehabilitates and cares for animals in need of care. Animal Sanctuary provides refuge for farm animals rescued from slaughter, abuse or neglect.
Farm animals are often forgotten because they are treated and dismissed as a necessary cost of feeding the population. However, with the rising demand for food, many animals are neglected, abused or unnecessarily killed.

We want to stop the slaughter, abuse and neglect of farm animals and raise awareness of the true cost of meat production.
Animal Sanctuary Foundation helps farm animals in need by providing food, shelter, veterinary care, rehabilitation and a “forever home”.
Our Vision
Animal Sanctuary Foundation’s vision is to provide quality care for all types of farm animals while educating people about animal welfare issues, and sustainable and alternative farming.
What is the Animal Sanctuary Foundation?
We work with animal shelters and rescues to provide a sanctuary for farm animals. Where possible, we try and rehome small animals (e.g. rabbits and chickens) as pets with a loving and caring family. However, most animals stay with us until their natural death.
Unlike some animal charities, we aren’t an overpopulated animal shelter with tiny cages, nor are we a soulless fundraising operation. Animal Sanctuary Foundation’s primary and only focus is to ensure our animals lead happy and healthy lives.
Animals at our animal sanctuary have plenty of safe space, and our volunteers and vets ensure that we meet their dietary and medical needs.
How you can help
If you love animals and want to help animals in need, we will be recruiting volunteers in the following roles (some are remote):
- Animal Carer – help clean, prepare bedding, cut vegetables, refill water and give plenty of loving attention to our animals!
- Maintenance Technician – help paint fences, assist with expanding and repairing the sanctuary, and keep the sanctuary in a great and safe condition for our animals.
- (Remote) Social Media Manager – managing our social media channels, interacting with followers and creating engaging viral content to help raise awareness of our sanctuary.
- (Remote) Ambassador – Work with communities, schools, partners and businesses to help raise awareness of the sanctuary’s mission.
